Austrian luxury group Labelux has struck a £500m deal to buy Jimmy Choo from London-based private equity firm TowerBrook Capital.

Chief Creative Officer Tamara Mellon and CEO Josh Shulman have given their support to the partnership, with Mellon to take a stake in the new company. Labelux, which also owns fashion labels Derek Lam and Bally, plans to expand the footwear brand in Asia.
